Our client is a leader in the Design and Manufacturing of bespoke valves for a variety of industries and they are looking for a Cost Analyst to join their team! The Cost Analyst plays a critical internal role in supporting the commercial success and governance of the company’s sales organisation through accurate costing, pricing analysis, and commercial evaluation.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and maintain cost models and pricing structures to support tenders and sales opportunities
- Support the Tender Manager with costing, pricing, and margin analysis across bids and proposals
- Review and validate cost assumptions, pricing logic, and commercial inputs for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Contact external vendors and suppliers to obtain budgetary and firm pricing for materials, components, and services required to support sales and tender activities
- Evaluate supplier quotations and cost inputs, highlighting commercial risks, assumptions, and opportunities
- Propose procurement strategies in support of specific tenders and targeted awards, aligned with commercial objectives, delivery requirements, and risk profile
- Support the Supply Chain and Planning teams by providing cost intelligence, pricing assumptions, and procurement recommendations
