CNC Machinist / Programmer

Staffordshire

£16.00 – £18.00 Per Hour

Our well-established client based in Staffordshire is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company in a dynamic and supportive environment.

CNC Machinist / Programmer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate CNC milling machines
  • Work independently to set up machines and adjust settings based on engineering drawings
  • Interpret technical plans and CAD models for accurate machining
  • Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using standard measurement techniques
  • Assemble machined components as per engineering specifications
  • Carry out finishing tasks such as grinding, using appropriate tools
  • Work collaboratively to improve production processes and ensure quality control
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a tidy work environment

CNC Machinist / Programmer Ideal Candidate:

  • Hands-on experience with CNC milling machines (lathe experience also beneficial)
  • Strong knowledge of Hurco controls and WINMAX programming is essential
  • Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files
  • Solid understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
  • Competence in using hand and power tools for assembly and finishing work
  • Good mathematical skills for calculating dimensions and adjustments
  • High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

CNC Machinist / Programmer Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week
