CNC Machinist / Programmer
Staffordshire
£16.00 – £18.00 Per Hour
Our well-established client based in Staffordshire is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company in a dynamic and supportive environment.
CNC Machinist / Programmer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CNC milling machines
- Work independently to set up machines and adjust settings based on engineering drawings
- Interpret technical plans and CAD models for accurate machining
- Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using standard measurement techniques
- Assemble machined components as per engineering specifications
- Carry out finishing tasks such as grinding, using appropriate tools
- Work collaboratively to improve production processes and ensure quality control
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a tidy work environment
CNC Machinist / Programmer Ideal Candidate:
- Hands-on experience with CNC milling machines (lathe experience also beneficial)
- Strong knowledge of Hurco controls and WINMAX programming is essential
- Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files
- Solid understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
- Competence in using hand and power tools for assembly and finishing work
- Good mathematical skills for calculating dimensions and adjustments
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
