Job Description Electrical Design Engineer Our client is an environmental engineering specialist and they are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing company! Design of both bespoke and standard control panels, as well as electrical installation schematics, for a variety of wastewater treatment projects Create detailed electrical schematics, 2D layouts, and wiring diagrams for control panels, compliant with customer specifications and industry standards using CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into new machinery Support the panel assembly team during build and testing phases of control panels Document design revisions, support DCNs (Design Change Notices), and participate in design reviews Support the commissioning team to ensure successful FAT and SAT Solid understanding of low-voltage motor control panel design You will be proficient in CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar) Experience with machine safety and functional safety standards (e.g., Completed a formal qualification in an Engineering discipline Able to demonstrate a practical approach to engineering to develop cost effective solution that meet customer requirements Conversant with an internal ERP system after a period of training Monday to Friday: 8:00am / 8:30am to 16:00pm / 16:30pm ~40 hours a week ~23 days holiday (which 3 of those will need to be saved for Christmas shutdown) and with the completion of each year of service (providing you have worked a full holiday year - Jan – Dec) you will receive an additional day’s holiday up to a maximum of 33 days after ten years ~4 % employer pension, employee contribution is 4%, we increase our contribution after 5 years to 6% ~ Company discretionary bonus: 10 % of the company’s profit before tax is annually shared amongst all employees – you will receive it pro-rata for the previous financial year ~ Sick Bonus: £50 a quarter ~ Private Medical Insurance (AXA) on completion of the probationary period ~ Cycle to Work Scheme ~ Sick Pay (10 days during the first 12 months, over 12 months – 4 weeks and after that it is discretionary) ~ EAP 24/7 with Health Assured ~ Training & Development Whether you are looking for permanent or temporary work we pride ourselves in understanding our candidate’s requirements to ensure that we place you in your ideal role.
