Our client is a leader in their field and is recruiting for an Engineering Technician to join their growing team!

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Gain and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and equipment
  • Participate in the introduction of new parts including equipment, tooling and procedures
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and lead continuous improvement activities
  • Responding to line stops, taking the required actions to restart production in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain manufacturing documentation, including operator instructions, inspection standards, etc.
  • Assist in commissioning and validation of new equipment
  • Assist in 8D investigations for either external or internal non-conformity

Ideal Candidate:

  • Possess or be working towards HNC/HND in an engineering/science/technical discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience (desirable)
  • A strong interest in mechanical, electronic or production engineering (desirable)
  • IT skills (desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Work effectively as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
  • Keen to learn new skills
  • Have a strong technical bias
