Our client, based in Malmesbury, is currently seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join their expanding production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on individual with strong mechanical assembly skills and a keen eye for detail to work within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Assembly Technician Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical assembly and fitting of a variety of components, including bearings, sprockets, gearboxes, and associated equipment
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Safely operate a range of hand and power tools
  • Assemble products to required tolerances and within set production deadlines
  • Conduct quality inspections and identify any assembly or component issues
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times within the workshop
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support team development

Assembly Technician Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience within a mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or fitting environment
  • The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good working knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • A strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Good physical fitness, as the role will involve manual handling duties
  • Electrical assembly experience – desirable
  • Crane certification – desirable
  • Scissor lift licence – desirable
  • Forklift licence – desirable

Assembly Technician Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 07:50 – 17:00
Fridays, 07:50 – 14:30
