Our client is a leading engineering manufacturer and is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their growing team!
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will develop, implement and maintain the company's Quality Management System while leading relationships with customers' quality teams and relevant compliance authorities.
Quality Assurance Manager Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the company's Quality Management System
- Lead the NCR and root-cause analysis process, producing key performance metrics
- Maintain and continuously improve company quality procedures
- Plan and lead internal, external and accreditation audits
- Maintain the company's ISO 9001 accreditation
- Support the wider Quality team with its ASME quality manual
- Work with Procurement to review existing subcontractors and audit new suppliers
- Monitor root-cause investigations and ensure corrective actions are delivered promptly
- Support Operations with operational excellence, Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Work with the QC Manager to maintain the team skills matrix and implement development plans
- Lead relationships with customers' quality teams and compliance authorities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Logistics and Finance
- Successfully implement quality systems and improvements across the business
Quality Assurance Manager Ideal Candidate
- HND in a STEM subject or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree desirable xgikmsk
- Senior quality experience within a highly regulated engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience within fabrication and metalwork processes
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide wider teams
- Experience training employees in quality and problem-solving techniques
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement tools
- Practical, resilient and confident operating within a hands-on environment
