Our client, based in Farnborough, is seeking an experienced and motivated MIG/TIG Welder to join their growing Production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator with a strong background in thin-gauge aluminium welding who takes pride in producing high-quality work to demanding engineering standards.
Welder Roles and Responsibilities:
- Carry out high-quality MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge aluminium (1.5mm–6mm)
- Fabricate, assemble and weld complex components
- Read and interpret from engineering drawings
- Set up and safely operate welding equipment, hand tools and fabrication machinery
- Prepare, clean and finish completed fabrications ready for further production processes
- Inspect finished work using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers to ensure quality standards are met
- Work to production schedules while maintaining high standards of quality
Welder Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding
- A minimum of 4 year’s fabrication experience
- Experience working with thin-gauge aluminium
- Extensive fabrication experience involving complex builds and assemblies
- Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel
- Ability to confidently read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Experience using inspection and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail
Welder Working Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
