Our client is looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified Mechanical Quality Inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply, through policing in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and 'hands on' approach to dimensional inspection. The role will involve customer and supplier liaison, management of NCR's and development of corrective/preventative actions in line with ISO 9001 standards and further development/improvement of the system.

Mechanical Quality Inspector Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting, confirming and authorising in-coming materials and returns from Outsources
  • Approving In-Process production and validating 'First-Off measurements
  • Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001
  • Documenting all inspection results on company’s internal systems
  • Raising and investigating NCR's with implementation of corrective/preventive measures
  • Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review
  • Liaison with customers and suppliers including conducting audits where required.
  • Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production

Mechanical Quality Inspector Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have a mechanical background working within manufacturing
  • Have experience using a wide range of measurement equipment and programmable CMM
  • Be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection
  • Be familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment
  • Be able to interpret engineering drawings
  • Be continuous improvement focused, supporting production improvement initiatives
  • Have good communication skills both internally and to outside agencies by telephone/email

Working Hours + Benefits:

  • 37 hour weeks Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 Friday 08:00 – 13:00
  • Opportunity for overtime, weekend, and shift work (paid at a premium)
