Digitalisation Project Leader (12 Month FTC)

Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovative construction products and is looking for an Interim Digitalisation Project Leader to join their team on a 12-month contract!
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, delivery and successful implementation of digitalisation projects across the business
- Develop project plans, manage timelines, budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful project delivery
- Drive business transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, visibility, compliance and process control
- Identify opportunities to replace manual processes with efficient digital workflows and automated solutions
- Improve process visibility, data accuracy, reporting capabilities and operational controls
- Support the implementation of automation and real-time data management solutions
- Promote consistency and standardisation across business processes
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior leadership on performance, risks and outcomes
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Technical, Supply Chain and IT teams to deliver successful projects
- Manage relationships with external consultants, ensuring work is completed to agreed standards and timescales
- Engage stakeholders across the business to define requirements, overcome challenges and encourage adoption of new systems and processes
- Provide practical support and guidance throughout project implementation and change initiatives
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and positive change across the organisation
- Maintain a strong on-site presence across multiple locations, developing a thorough understanding of business processes
- Build effective working relationships with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Take a hands-on approach to implementing practical digital solutions that deliver measurable business improvements
- Undertake additional project and business transformation activities as required
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience leading digital transformation or digitalisation projects within a manufacturing, engineering, construction products or similar operational environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver multiple projects to time and budget
- Experience improving business processes through automation, digital workflows and process optimisation
- Good understanding of IT systems, with experience of Microsoft 365 platforms and Dynamics 365 Business Central being advantageous
- Knowledge of quality management systems, compliance processes and operational controls
- Experience using reporting and data analysis tools to support business performance and decision-making
- Strong Continuous Improvement experience, including process mapping and business optimisation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Resilient, adaptable and committed to driving positive change across the business while demonstrating strong teamwork and company values
