We are supporting our client to find a Buyer to join their emerging family run electronics manufacturing business! This role involves supporting sales through accurate job estimating and procurement. You’ll report directly to the Purchasing Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of parts across the supply chain.

Junior Buyer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Raise purchase orders and manage delivery schedules to meet production plans
  • Support negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
  • Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages or delays
  • Managing orders; Place and schedule parts in line with MRP requirements
  • Ensure the MRP system accurately reflects stock dates, locations, and quantities

Junior Buyer Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience within a similar role (desirable)
  • Previous experience within Contracts Electronics Manufacturing (desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong commitment to achieving deadlines
  • Strong maths and IT skills with the ability to use daily Word, Excel, MRP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
  • Languages: Fluent English. Mandarin or Cantonese is desirable, but not essential

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Working hours: 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing annually to a maximum of 30 days
