Our client is looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified Mechanical Quality Inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply, through policing in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and 'hands on' approach to dimensional inspection. The role will involve customer and supplier liaison, management of NCR's & development of corrective/preventative actions in line with ISO 9001 standards and further development/improvement of the system.
Mechanical Quality Inspector Roles and Responsibilities:
- Inspecting, confirming and authorising in-coming materials and returns from Outsources
- Approving In-Process production and validating 'First-Off measurements
- Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001
- Documenting all inspection results on companys internal systems
- Raising and investigating NCR's with implementation of corrective/preventive measures
- Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review
- Liaison with customers and suppliers including conducting audits where required.
- Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production
Mechanical Quality Inspector Ideal Candidate Will:
- Mechanical background working within manufacturing
- Have experience using a wide range of measurement equipment and programmable CMM
- Be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection
- Familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment
- Be able to interpret engineering drawings
- You will have good communication skills both internally and to outside ‘agencies’ by telephone/email
- 37 hour weeks
- Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 Friday 08:00 – 13:00
- Opportunity for overtime, weekend, and shift work (paid at a premium)
