Our Digital Streaming Partnerships team are responsible for Sony Music UK’s relationships with Spotify, Apple, Amazon, YouTube, Vevo, Deezer & SoundCloud. This is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience in the inner workings of a major record label and how artists grow their audiences on these platforms, as well as an overall insight into the way in which a record label works on a day-to-day basis.
As a Senior Streaming Partnerships Manager, you will work with all music genres and closely with all of Sony’s label groups (such as Columbia and RCA). You’ll manage our relationship with Spotify, helping to maximize visibility for our artist’s releases and shape bespoke marketing campaigns.
What you’ll do:
- Relationship Management: Proactively manage relationships with various label teams within Sony Music UK and manage the UK company’s relationships with the platform. Act as the team point person for one of Sony’s key labels, attending their label meetings and fielding related questions from the label teams.
- Best Practice Education: Drive education of internal teams on best practices for artist positioning, fan engagement, and growing audiences on the platform.
- Artist Partnership Campaigns: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute bespoke artist partnerships with the platform.
- Partner Meetings: Plan and host regular in-person meetings to present and introduce our artists.
- Music Pitching: Manage the pitch process of new releases and ongoing priority projects to ensure optimal visibility.
Who you are:
- Experience working within the music industry, digital music sector, or a related entertainment, media or technology business.
- Strong knowledge of Spotify, streaming strategy and the wider digital service provider (DSP) landscape.
- Passionate about music, culture and the ways fans engage with artists in a digital environment.
- A confident relationship builder who can influence and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
