Following a period of significant growth for the Shark and Ninja brands across EMEA, we are seeking a Senior Director of Public Relations to lead our EMEA media relations programme and to build on this momentum. You will be an inspiring team leader and a natural creative with a proven track record for developing and executing successful campaigns, increasing brand awareness, and delivering impactful communication across varied customer touch points.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategic direction, development and execution of earned media across the EMEA region.
- Develop, drive and coordinate the strategy and execution of SharkNinja’s corporate brand activity across the EMEA region.
- Manage external agency partners across EMEA – including overseeing agency resources, ensuring they are briefed in a timely manner and campaigns deliver against business goals.
- Manage and oversee the PR budget allocation across EMEA – ensuring effective use and impactful ROI.
- Manage internal stakeholders and co-ordinate the wider teams in SharkNinja to create impactful 360 campaigns.
- Provide strategic PR counsel to the wider SharkNinja business and senior leadership team.
- Co-ordinate with our global teams to ensure synergy in activity.
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts.
- Manage media inquiries and high level interview requests.
- Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations.
- Manage crisis situations and communications to ensure best practice.
- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results – developing comprehensive reports to communicate results for key PR campaigns and initiatives to executive team and key stakeholders.
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an ongoing basis.
- Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
Requirements
- Extensive senior-level public relations experience, including team leadership, required.
- Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at a local, national and international level.
- Experience working across EMEA markets.
- Fluent in German, French or Spanish a plus but not essential.
- Experience of managing agencies (or coming from agency side at a senior level).
- Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
