The Company

When it comes to digital communities, The Alliance is leading the way. With 160,000+ professionals across our communities and a constant stream of certifications, memberships, and learning products, we help individuals and teams grow faster in their careers. We work with some of the world’s most recognisable companies and pride ourselves on being a high-impact learning partner.

We’re ambitious, we move quickly, and we’re still early in the journey. That means real ownership, a steep learning curve, and plenty of opportunity to shape what comes next.

About the Role

We’re hiring Sales Associates to join our Education & Membership Sales team, people with energy, curiosity, and the drive to build a career in commercial roles. Your primary focus will be selling our professional certifications, memberships, and online learning solutions in global markets. You will manage the end-to-end cycle while engaging senior decision-makers at leading tech companies. Over time, this role can progress into more senior sales or specialist commercial paths across the business.

This role is not about arriving fully formed; it’s about building and proving confidence, capability, and momentum through doing.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Sales Core: Focused on prospecting, leads qualification, pipeline management, and deal closing. Be able to hold your ground with senior B2B stakeholders and work to clear targets and expectations.
  • Engaging Decision-Makers: Speak directly with professionals at fast-growing and enterprise tech companies, understand their challenges, and recommend the right core certifications and different tiered memberships.
  • Owning Deals End-to-End: Own the pipeline from first contact through to close and handover, taking accountability for outcomes and using feedback and data to improve week by week.
  • Product Mastery: Develop strong knowledge of our core certifications, different tiered memberships, and broader education ecosystem, enabling confident and relevant cross-selling.
  • Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with marketing, product, community, and customer success teams, sharing insights and operating with autonomy while knowing when to ask for support.

This Role Is For You If

  • Seeking a role to work hard and build a strong career in professional sales.
  • Having a background or a strong interest in education sales, training products, or learning solutions.
  • Comfortable being uncomfortable while learning something new and navigating unfamiliar software or sales scripts.
  • Open to actively seeking out feedback and applying it quickly to daily workflow.
  • Taking complete ownership for outcomes, not just daily effort or hours put in.
  • Resilient, organised, and fully able to manage high pace and volume pressure.
  • Communicating clearly with customers and with teammates alike.
  • Enjoying working as part of a high-energy team where success is shared.

Base Salary: £26,500 - £28,000 (range depending on experience)

Year 1 OTE: Estimated £35,000 (uncapped)

Year 2 OTE: Estimated £55,000 (uncapped)

Location: this role can be hybrid in our London office or fully remote within the UK.

Benefits

  • Time off & flexibility: 34 days’ paid holiday including UK Bank holidays and a day off on your birthday. Flexible working hours: our core hours are 10am–4:30pm, with the flexibility to structure your working day between 8am and 8pm.
  • WFH Kit: a comprehensive tech setup, plus a dedicated WFH equipment budget.
  • Health & wellbeing: Private Medical and Dental Insurance with Bupa. Life Insurance: cover worth 4x your annual salary. On-demand therapy & coaching: company sponsored access to therapy and career coaching through Spill.
  • Learning & development: A growing personal L&D budget (starting at £500 per year and increasing with tenure to £3,000 per year). Unlimited access to our internal Academy: including courses, learning resources and professional certifications.
