We are currently looking to hire: Class 1 (C+E) Monday to Friday Night Driver or Casual Driver with multiple shifts available. Call us today or apply online and we can book you in with our team for an interview & assessment to work at our March Depot.
Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications from newly qualified drivers with less than 12 months' commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
Required Experience:
- Curtainside Trailers
- Paper Reels
- Cardboard
- Ratchet Strapping
You must hold a valid LGV/HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, hold a UK digital tachograph card and a full DQC (CPC card).
Role involves:
- Shunting duties - typically every other Friday depending on business needs
- Start Times c. 16:00 for Nights
- Ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team
- Ensure the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge
- Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
- Drive in a safe and efficient manner
- Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
Estimated Gross Annual Earnings:
- Monday to Friday Nights: c. £42,800 + Bonus
- Casual shifts:
- Days: £15.54 per hour (Weekdays)
- £15.94 per hour (Weekday Overtime rate after 10 hours worked)
- £16.93 per hour (Weekends & Bank Holidays)
- Nights: £159.85 per 10 hour shift (Weeknights)
- £18.15 per hour (Weeknight Overtime rate after 10 hours worked)
- £168.82 per 10 hour shift (Saturday Night)
- £163.65 per 10 hour shift (Sunday Night)
In addition:
- £26.20 Nights Out (Tax Free) - if Tramping
- £5 per day Meal Allowance (Tax Free)
Bonuses:
- SAFED Fuel Bonus (max. c. £1,000)
- Pallet Bonus
The above figures include:
