This is not a role for a specific project; we are seeking talented individuals who can lead software development teams and deliver outstanding creative technology experiences that connect digital and physical worlds.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with a deep understanding of interactive technologies, live environments, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will guide teams in designing and delivering immersive digital experiences, from AR/VR to gesture-based interfaces and custom hardware integrations. You will collaborate closely with creatives, producers, and designers to bring cutting-edge experiences to life.
Technical Leadership- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of innovative software and hardware solutions.
- Provide technical direction, establish best practices, and ensure code quality across all projects.
- Shape the technical roadmap, aligning it with Jack Morton's creative and strategic goals.
- Mentor and manage software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Encourage experimentation and learning while maintaining delivery discipline.

What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years in software development, with 3+ years leading or managing technical teams.
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale, high-quality digital experiences, ideally involving physical or interactive components.
- Strong understanding of QA processes and continuous delivery practices.
- Hands-on experience in live event support, with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Proficiency in one or more core languages: JavaScript, C#, Python, or C++.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with Unity/Unreal.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of creative coding (TouchDesigner, Unity, Unreal, openFrameworks) and physical computing.
- Excellent communicator who can bridge technical and creative disciplines.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
