Are you an experienced and enthusiastic horticulturalist from a nursery/growing background? Do you want to be a part of a growing and proactive team on a recently renovated nursery, growing exciting varieties of plants in peat free soil for retail, amenity and cash and carry sales? Do you want to make a big impact and put your stamp on the future of this nursery? Do you enjoy being hands-on and leading by example?
This is a fast-paced role, where efficiency and the ability to meet tight deadlines are key requirements. You will need to be keen to learn, fit and healthy, interested in plants, and happy to work in all weather conditions throughout the year. We have lots of opportunities for future career progression on our nursery.
PREFERRED: Forklift and PA1/PA6 spraying licenses.
To assist in all activities including but not limited to the following:
- Potting of production stock including labelling and pricing
- Picking and packing of customer orders in a tidy, secure and safe manner
- Moving of stock around the nursery including trees and heavy plants
- General stock maintenance and nursery housekeeping
- Unpacking of deliveries of hardy nursery stock
- Pest & disease control
- Assisting Cash & Carry trade customers with their orders and also our own internal customers
- Weeding & watering
- Assisting other departments when necessary and any other tasks as requested by the business

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
