Job Description
- Demand Forecasting: Create and manage demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market analysis, and business trends. Regularly adjust forecasts to account for market changes and new trends.
- Data Analysis: Conduct detailed data analyses to identify patterns and trends. Prepare reports and presentations to support strategic decision-making.
- Inventory Management: Ensure optimal inventory levels through close collaboration with the purchasing and warehousing teams. Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
- Coordination: Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and logistics departments to ensure smooth product availability. Support the planning and execution of sales promotions and marketing campaigns, as well as managing product phase-in and phase-out.
- Strategic Planning, S&OP: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales. Identify market opportunities and risks, and devise measures to increase sales and minimize inventory costs.
- Customer Analysis: Analyze customer behavior and market demand to develop targeted sales strategies. Support the development of customer retention and loyalty programs.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement measures to improve demand planning and processes. Continuously review and adjust processes to increase efficiency.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage risks related to demand forecasts and strategies. Develop and implement measures to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience: Several years of experience in demand planning, sales management, or a similar role. Experience with planning and analytical tools (e.g., SAP, APO, IBP, Excel).
- Skills: Strong analytical skills and numerical understanding, ability to interpret complex data. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Software Knowledge: Proficient in using ERP systems and demand planning tools. Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., BW, PowerBI) is an advantage.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in German and English, ability to collaborate effectively with various departments. Ability to clearly and concisely present analyses and results.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify problems and develop solutions to optimize processes. Proactive approach and ability to work under pressure. High degree of assertiveness.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with a team and support colleagues. Openness to feedback and willingness to continuously improve.
