Job Description
You will be the technical heart of a venture building an AI overlay for industrial manufacturing. By integrating PINN‑based control with existing PLCs, you will optimize factory setpoints within safety envelopes. You will own the end‑to‑end stack, from edge gateways to supervisory agents, transforming decaying industrial infrastructure into intelligent, autonomous systems.

What You Will Do
- Architect and build the end‑to‑end technical stack, including edge AI gateways, control systems, and the supervisory AI overlay.
- Hire and lead a multidisciplinary engineering squad across industrial architecture, computer vision, control theory, and mechatronics.
- Lead the technical narrative for fundraising, pilot deployments with industrial partners, and compliance with the EU AI Act.
The ideal candidate
- Possesses a world‑class engineering pedigree, ideally with a PhD in Machine Learning, Mechatronics, or Material Properties/PINNs.
- Has a proven track record of hiring and managing high‑performing engineering teams within a fast‑paced startup or scale‑up environment.
- Demonstrates a builder’s bias with hands‑on experience in control systems (RL/MPC) or industrial protocols like OPC‑UA and SCADA.
