Wissen AI is a stealth-stage London and New York-based fintech building the continuous, structured coverage layer for public markets.

Incorporated in July 2024, the team is creating an AI-native observation layer that transforms filings, transcripts, and market signals into actionable insights for institutional fundamental investors.

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Wissen AI, you will be a full-stack generalist building product surfaces, infrastructure, and multi-step reasoning systems.

Working directly with the founders, you will own significant parts of the system and ship AI-native tools that turn institutional investment judgment into structured research workflows.

  • Location
  • London, UK / New York, USA
  • Why this role is remarkable
  • Join a stealth-stage team at the absolute earliest phase, having been incorporated in July 2024 with the opportunity for significant equity ownership.
  • Work directly alongside technical founders to build an AI-native product from the ground up for the world's most sophisticated institutional investors.
  • Solve hard intellectual problems at the intersection of AI, finance, and knowledge systems, moving beyond prototypes to ship real-world production systems.

What You Will Do

  • Build and iterate on full-stack product surfaces and core infrastructure for a reliable institutional research platform.
  • Develop and evaluate multi-step reasoning systems designed to automate complex fundamental research workflows and institutional knowledge preservation.
  • Translate professional investment judgment into structured software behavior and high-fidelity market observation tools that operate continuously.
  • The ideal candidate
  • You have a proven track record of shipping AI-native products directly to end-users, rather than just building internal tools or research prototypes.
  • You thrive in high-ambiguity, early-stage environments and possess a T-shaped skill set that covers product surfaces, infrastructure, and LLM orchestration.
  • You are highly driven and leverage modern AI tools to maximize your shipping velocity and technical impact within a small team.

Ok, I'll go first.

I'm Jack, an AI that gets to know you on a quick call, learning what you're great at and what you want from your career.

Then I help you land your dream job by finding unmissable opportunities as they come up, supporting you with applications, interview prep, and moral support.

And I'm Jill, an AI Recruiter who talks to companies to understand who're looking to hire.

Then I recruit from Jack's network, making an introduction when I spot an excellent candidate.

How does this work?

  • Jack's an AI agent for job searching and career coaching. He works for you.
  • Jill is the AI recruiter working for the company. She recruits from Jack's network.
  • If it's a match and the company wants to meet you, they'll make the intro. In the meantime, if you'd like, Jack will send you excellent alternatives.
  • We never post fake jobs

This isn't a trick. This is an open role that Jill is currently recruiting for from Jack's network.

Sometimes Jill's clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can't share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn't much we can do about it.
