StackOne is a $24M Series B London‑based startup backed by GV and Workday Ventures, building the leading AI Integration Gateway. They provide a unified API layer for HR, CRM, and ATS platforms, enabling SaaS providers to orchestrate scalable, enterprise‑grade integrations for AI agents and business systems.
As the first dedicated Senior Platform Engineer, you will own the infrastructure behind StackOne’s AI Integration Gateway. Reporting to the CTO, you'll lead the migration from AWS CDK to Terraform, optimize CI/CD pipelines for a growing monorepo, and architect the delivery of the platform into customers' own cloud environments via BYOC models.
Why this role is remarkable:
- Foundational Impact: Join as the first dedicated platform engineer, defining the infrastructure strategy and DevOps culture from the ground up for a high‑growth startup.
- Blue‑Chip Backing: Backed by top‑tier investors GV (Google Ventures) and Workday Ventures with $24M raised to solve complex enterprise integration challenges.
- Complex Engineering: Work on cutting‑edge "Bring Your Own Cloud" (BYOC) architecture, delivering SaaS infrastructure directly into major enterprise cloud accounts like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the transition of the entire AWS estate from AWS CDK to Terraform while maintaining high reliability for production workloads like ECS Fargate and Aurora.
- Architect and automate the deployment pipeline, consolidating toward a monorepo with incremental, affected‑only testing to ensure rapid developer feedback loops.
- Build the versioning, packaging, and delivery systems required to ship StackOne’s platform into customer‑managed cloud environments with full observability and security.
The ideal candidate:
- Has 4+ years of experience in platform engineering or SRE, with deep expertise in AWS services including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, and Lambda.
- Demonstrates high proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK) and programming in TypeScript or Python to build developer tools rather than just configuration.
- Possesses a security‑first mindset with experience securing CI/CD pipelines and ideally shipping software into customer‑managed cloud or on‑prem environments.
