Job Description
As the first technical hire at Fortalis, you will build the Risk Monitor platform from scratch. Working directly with the co-founders, you’ll own the entire stack, integrating data feeds, implementing an AI synthesis layer, and developing a client‑facing portal. It’s a unique opportunity to shape a high‑impact product for detecting cross‑domain threats.

What You Will Do
- Build and own the end‑to‑end intelligence platform, including entity mapping, feed integration, and a real‑time AI signal processing layer using Node.js and Python.
- Architect the database and infrastructure using Supabase and Vercel to ensure reliability and speed as the platform ingests massive volumes of signal data.
- Design and develop the React‑based client portal where organizations monitor alerts, review synthesized briefs, and coordinate their strategic response to external risks.
The ideal candidate
- Proven full‑stack engineering experience with a track record of building data‑intensive products that ingest and synthesize signals from multiple disparate sources.
- Strong background in the modern JavaScript ecosystem or Python, with the ability to integrate LLMs and real‑time AI pipelines into production‑ready software.
- A founding‑team mindset characterized by high autonomy, comfort with ambiguity, and a genuine desire to build a meaningful intelligence product from zero to one.
