Zendo is a $2M+ pre‑seed London startup building the Energy OS for data centers. Backed by Fly Ventures, Octopus Ventures, and Pact VC, Zendo helps operators unlock stranded power capacity to meet the explosive energy demands of AI compute workloads in an increasingly strained global grid.

You will work directly with founders from Octopus Energy, Square, and Meta to scale Zendo’s platform. This high‑accountability generalist role spans managing customer pilots end‑to‑end, defining product requirements, and building the energy services methodology. You will play a critical part in helping data centers safely maximize their power utilization.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Work at the intersection of AI and energy infrastructure, solving the critical capacity crunch that projects data center power consumption to double by 2030.
  • Join a high‑pedigree founding team with experience from Octopus Energy, Meta, and Square, supported by over $2M in funding from top‑tier VCs and Google angels.
  • Gain a ground‑floor seat with direct founder access and a clear path to a senior or executive role as the company scales into a category leader.

What You Will Do

  • Manage active customer Proof of Concepts (PoCs) from initial scope and data collection through to on‑site logistics and final project execution.
  • Translate customer feedback and operational pain points into technical product requirements, collaborating closely with the engineering team to iterate on the core platform.
  • Develop Zendo’s energy services methodology, creating the repeatable playbooks and models needed to deliver commercial outcomes and unlock stranded capacity for customers.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds 2-4 years of experience in a fast‑paced environment, specifically within the energy sector, power systems, or a high‑growth tech startup.
  • Demonstrates a tech‑lean analytical mindset with proficiency in data visualization tools like Python, Tableau, or Power BI to interpret complex energy data.
  • Exhibits a strong bias for action and the ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments, managing multiple stakeholders and driving projects to completion.
