Job Description: Join as the second engineer at a stealth startup automating complex legal workflows for international founders. You will own product end-to-end, building intelligent systems for case preparation and evidence analysis. This role offers the unique opportunity to define the technical architecture of an AI-first firm backed by world-class industry leaders.

Why this role is remarkable:

  • Work directly with a founding team comprised of a 2x YC founder (ex-Series C) and a top VC General Counsel.
  • Join a project backed by the highest tier of AI and venture capital royalty, including the Head of Startups at OpenAI and the founder of Hugging Face.
  • Transition from building chatbots to shipping production-grade AI that handles complex legal work products and disrupts a fragmented multibillion-dollar industry.

What You Will Do:

  • Architect and ship across the full stack using a modern TypeScript monorepo, including React, Radix, and oRPC with a Drizzle/Postgres backend.
  • Design and implement AI agents using OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini to automate document generation, legal research, and client communications.
  • Collaborate directly with users and founders to define product features, iterating rapidly from concept to production-ready legal tools.

The ideal candidate:

  • Deep expertise in production TypeScript across the full stack and a strong intuition for software design principles beyond simple code generation.
  • Hands-on experience building with LLM providers or agent frameworks, with the ability to direct AI tools to produce high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Early-stage DNA with a bias for action, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to take massive ownership as one of the first technical hires.
