Goodspeed Studio is a fast-growing, 20-person AI-native product studio in London that builds websites and automations for clients. They are currently scaling their impact by leveraging a fleet of internal AI agents to streamline delivery and are looking for their first operational leader to build the company’s backbone.
As the first operational hire at Goodspeed Studio, you will serve as the COO or Chief of Staff, overseeing finances, HR, and delivery operations. You will design the systems that allow this AI-native studio to scale, mapping complex processes and managing the integration of AI agents into a high-performance, data-driven workflow.
Location: London, UK
Why this role is remarkable:
- Join as the first operational hire with a direct path to the COO title and future profit-sharing opportunities as you build the function.
- Work at the cutting edge of AI-native business models, managing a company where AI agents handle routine tasks so humans can focus on judgment.
- Take full ownership of the operational backbone—including finance, HR, and resourcing—at a fast-scaling studio currently disrupting traditional agency models.
What You Will Do:
- Own business operations including budgeting, P&L management, cash flow forecasting, and margin tracking to ensure sustainable growth and project health.
- Standardize and map delivery processes visually to eliminate operational silos, moving internal communications out of private messages and into searchable, public systems.
- Oversee the AI-native delivery layer, working with engineering teams to ensure AI agents are effectively integrated into resourcing models and capacity dashboards.
The ideal candidate:
- Proven experience as a COO, Chief of Staff, or Head of Ops at a high-growth startup or studio with fewer than 100 employees.
- Strong financial literacy with direct experience managing P&L, forecasting, and HR functions like recruitment and performance management.
- A process-obsessed mindset with advanced skills in visual mapping (e.g., Miro) and building data-driven dashboards to track utilization and project velocity.
