What You Will Do
- Source emerging science and investment opportunities across the US, UK, and EU by monitoring academic spin-outs, pharma pipelines, and the broader biotech ecosystem.
- Lead rigorous scientific and commercial due diligence, building comprehensive investment cases that encompass R&D strategy, development plans, budgets, and valuation analysis.
- Support portfolio company growth and company creation by contributing to scientific strategy, team formation, and early business development for newly launched ventures.
- The ideal candidate
- Possesses a Ph D in a relevant area of biology from a leading laboratory, demonstrating a deep mechanistic understanding of disease and therapeutic innovation.
- Holds at least two years of professional experience in life sciences venture capital, strategy consulting (Mc Kinsey, BCG, Bain, L.
K.), investment banking, or biotech business development.
- Demonstrates strong commercial instinct and "hustle," with the ability to distinguish between interesting science and fundable business opportunities while operating independently.
