Jack Arnold is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and take ownership of multiple architectural metalwork projects from inception through to completion.

About us

We design, fabricate, and install high-quality architectural metalwork - staircases, balustrades, structural steel, façades, and bespoke feature pieces - for commercial, residential, and public projects. Our reputation is built on craftsmanship, technical precision, and reliable delivery.

The role

Reporting to senior management, you'll run several live projects in parallel, taking each from initial briefing through design coordination, fabrication, and on-site installation. You'll be the central point of contact for clients, architects, main contractors, and our internal workshop and install teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage multiple architectural metalwork projects concurrently, balancing programme, budget, and quality across each.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, structural engineers, and main contractors to coordinate design intent, RFIs, and site requirements.
  • Produce and maintain project programmes, procurement schedules, and cost reports.
  • Oversee design and detailing handover to the workshop, ensuring drawings and specifications are clear and buildable.
  • Coordinate fabrication priorities with the workshop manager and manage subcontractors where required.
  • Plan and supervise site installations, including method statements, RAMS, and site logistics.
  • Conduct site surveys, attend design and progress meetings, and manage variations.
  • Track project financials, including valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.

About you

  • Proven experience managing architectural metalwork, structural steel, or bespoke fabrication projects.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, installation methods, and relevant standards.
  • Confident reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills - comfortable dealing with clients, design teams, and trades on site.
  • Organised and able to juggle competing priorities across multiple jobs without losing detail.
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and contract administration.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
  • Pension scheme and holiday entitlement.
  • The chance to work on a varied and high-profile portfolio of projects.
  • A collaborative, craft-focused team.
