Company: Foundy.com – an AI-native M&A advisory platform building a world‐first matching engine for business sales.
Job Description: You will architect a novel algorithmic engine to match business sellers with buyers using dual conversational AI agents. As a fractional technical leader, you will audit existing no‐code infrastructure, design a scalable scoring system, and draft technical specs for execution. This role combines high‐level architecture with long‐term strategic engineering management.
Why this role is remarkable:
- Architect a world‐first product applying conversational AI agents to the $50B+ M&A industry, turning relationship‐driven brokering into an algorithmic science.
- High‐impact fractional equity stake (1.2%) in a funded startup with a £2M+ pipeline and proven product‐market fit.
- Flexibility to lead high‐level technical strategy and team building without the daily grind of full‐time execution, while owning essential industry infrastructure.
What you will do:
- Conduct a technical audit of current Supabase and Vapi integrations to define a production‐ready roadmap and scalable data model.
- Design the proprietary matchmaking scoring algorithm that weights buyer‐seller signals to deliver surgical targeting and valuation uplifts.
- Create detailed technical specifications and a hiring scorecard to recruit and manage the mid‐level engineering team through to exit.
Ideal candidate:
- Proven experience building multi‐agent conversational AI or voice systems (Vapi, Retell, LangGraph) in production environments.
- Background designing complex two‐sided matching engines or scoring systems for marketplaces, recruiting platforms, or financial services.
- Senior leadership experience at post‐seed / Series A startups with the ability to translate non‐technical founder vision into robust engineering architecture.
