What are we building?

The problem:

Our careers are one of the most important things in our lives, and there’s literally no-one offering help, fairly and for free. We have world-class products for the trivial bits of life: Airbnb for holidays, Uber for cabs, Deliveroo for dinner, each 3x better than what came before. But when it comes to our careers, most people are still stuck with noisy job boards, spammy emails and career coaches that charge $500/hour. The system doesn’t work well for the most in-demand talent, and it’s brutal for everyone else. It also benefits the privileged through networks and information only available to those already on the inside.

On the flip side, recruitment is insanely inefficient for companies. In-demand jobs get flooded with applications, while hard-to-fill jobs require huge amounts of time and cost with agencies and cold sourcing. And making the wrong hire is very costly.

We feel very lucky to get to work on this product, with this team, at this time. We’ve raised $20M, led by tier-1 VC Creandum (Lovable, Spotify, Black Forest Labs, Bolt). We’re 12 months old, 16 people, 10 ex-founders, with 130K Jack users and over 1,000 companies working with Jill.

Our team:

Founded by two experienced serial founders:

  • Matt (CEO). Previous company Omnipresent grew to a $600M valuation in 3 years before exiting to Deel.
  • Saaras (CTO). Went 0→$3M ARR in a year as founder/CTO of YC AI sales startup Kular.ai.

You’ll report directly to:

  • Franky (CMO). 6x VC-backed CMO. Founding CMO at Fyxer, built 0→$10M ARR in 15 months. Ex Trip, Mindful Chef, Finisterre, Patch.

We’re a 16-person, founder-heavy team (10 ex-founders). Very experienced people owning projects hands-on, a remarkable team of engineers and creatives, using AI agents to do a lot of the work a junior team did in 2024.

What is the role and who are we looking for?

You will lead growth marketing, reporting to CMO Franky Athill. This means ownership of paid acquisition across both our B2C (candidates) and B2B (companies hiring) sides, as we expand into new markets and segments, running structured experiments, building measurement systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Build the paid acquisition machine. Own performance marketing across Meta, Google, and emerging channels. Manage budgets, build creative testing frameworks, and scale what works across markets. This is the core of the role.
  • Build the data infrastructure. Create the dashboards, attribution models, and reporting systems that power every growth decision. You’ll learn to work with AI agents to design experiments and build world-class marketing measurement from scratch.
  • Launch new channels from zero. Build an affiliate programme, scale SEO/AEO, and identify the next high-leverage acquisition channels. We’re launching in 5 new cities this year - you’ll build the playbook for each.
  • Run rigorous experiments. Design and execute structured tests across creative, audiences, landing pages, and channels. Every pound spent should teach us something.
  • Collaborate on product-led growth. Work alongside our engineering team on PLG initiatives.
  • Build the growth function. Start with your sleeves rolled up as a hands-on senior IC with a small freelance team. Over time, hire and lead the growth team as the company scales.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You’ve earned B2C growth through advertising with big budgets.
  • You’re measurement-obsessed.
  • You’ve done remarkable things early in your career.
  • You’ve built from scratch before.
  • You’re excited to be in the office 5 days/week, achieving 10x what most companies do.

This role isn’t for you if:

  • You want a predictable 9-to-5. We’re building fast and the work is intense. We respect life outside of work, but we do what it takes to win.
  • You need a large team to operate. This starts as a hands-on IC role with a small freelance team. You’ll build the team over time, but you need to be in the accounts and the data yourself first.
  • You’re a strategist, not an executor. If your growth experience is advising, consulting, or managing agencies rather than personally running campaigns and building systems, this isn’t the fit.
  • Your career has been at large tech companies. If your formative years were at Meta, Google, or Amazon, this isn’t the right environment. We need scrappy builders, not people who’ve operated with big-company infrastructure.
