We are a leading international food company that has recently expanded into the UK market. Their mission is to bring high-quality consumer food products to retail, food service, and B2B sectors across the UK and Europe. They are now seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join their growing team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised professional with a passion for food safety and quality assurance to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with UK and EU food safety regulations, including FSA requirements and EU food law.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and standards (BRCGS, HACCP, FIC, Natasha's Law).
  • Oversee product labelling and packaging compliance for UK/EU markets.
  • Manage allergen risk assessments and implement control measures across production and supply chain.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits (e.g., BRCGS).
  • Prepare and maintain product specifications and assist with supplier approvals.
  • Handle documentation and regulatory liaison during audits or product recalls.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in food safety or quality assurance within oriental food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU food legislation, allergen and labelling regulations.
  • Degree in Food Science or equivalent, with Level 3 HACCP certification.
  • Experience with GFSI-recognised standards (e.g., BRCGS).
  • Familiarity with customer portals for specification and artwork submission (Tesco, Sainsbury's).
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid right to work in the UK.
What’s on Offer:
  • Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 (DOE)
