Business / IT Consultant – Global Corporate Banking

Location: Central London (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite)

We are seeking bilingual consultants to partner with leading Japanese financial institutions and drive business and technology transformation initiatives in a global environment. This role offers opportunities to work across strategic, operational, and technology-focused projects within the banking sector.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consulting services across PMO, Business Analysis, and Product Management functions
  • Lead IT transformation and Business Process Re‑engineering (BPR) initiatives across:
    • Lending
    • Capital Markets
    • Transaction Banking
    • Trade Finance
    • Settlement Operations
    • Core Banking
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and identify opportunities to create additional value
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
  • Work autonomously while maintaining proactive and effective communication

Requirements

  • 5+ years of consulting and/or project delivery experience
  • Experience in IT transformation and/or operational transformation initiatives
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and related tools
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies, AI, and cybersecurity trends

Preferred Qualifications

  • End‑to‑end project lifecycle experience
  • Experience in requirements gathering, UAT planning, and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience in corporate banking and/or capital markets projects

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP
  • PRINCE2
  • Scrum Certifications (CSM, PSM, CSPO, PSPO)
  • IT‑related professional certifications
