A London-based law firm is seeking a Japanese-speaking Lawyer to support its primarily Japanese corporate client base in the UK. In this role, you will provide a wide range of business-related legal advice to clients and contribute to the growth and development of the firm's practice. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified lawyer in the UK or Japan who has substantial experience in one or more of the areas listed below and enjoys working closely with clients and collaborating as part of a team.

Practice Areas

  • Corporate law, including company formations, M&A, and fundraising
  • Regulatory and compliance matters
  • Employment law and employee relations
  • Immigration and visa matters
  • Real estate law, including development and investment projects

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor/lawyer in the UK or Japan
  • Strong practical experience in one or more of the above practice areas
  • Willingness and ability to develop expertise in unfamiliar areas when required
  • Comfortable providing legal advice directly to clients
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English

Employment Details

  • Location: London, United Kingdom
  • Working Arrangement: Hybrid
  • Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
  • Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
