A Japanese logistics company is seeking a Sales Administrator to support the sales team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support sales activities both in the office and in the field, utilising knowledge and skills in key areas such as food and pharmaceuticals to contribute to revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with senior management to consider the scope of sales services, develop sales strategies primarily for Japanese companies, and set sales targets.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand business needs and new requests.
  • Work with the operations department to ensure timely delivery according to customer demand.
  • Gather relevant costs and necessary information for preparing quotations.
  • Respond appropriately to inquiries.
  • Proactively handle customer complaints and improve satisfaction through appropriate solutions and follow-ups.
  • Analyse current procedures and feedback from third parties to enhance service quality.
  • Utilise internal group network knowledge to ensure all cargo is safely delivered according to customer requests, collaborating with overseas bases.
  • Prepare reports and analytical materials in Japanese based on requests from the head office in Japan.
  • Recognise and address cultural and legal international differences related to sales.
  • Keep service offerings and competitive information up to date.

Marketing:

  • Compile and analyse sales data to propose marketing campaigns and promotional activities, as well as conduct market research.
  • Collaborate with internal groups to promote the corporate brand worldwide.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to produce marketing materials.
  • Promote services through social media and websites in line with the company's brand and social media strategy.

Other:

  • Provide bilingual support as needed.
  • Occasionally provide support to the HHG (Household Goods) department.
  • Assist the line manager as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Japanese.
  • Over 3 years of experience as a Sales Administrator in the freight forwarding (international transport and logistics) industry, particularly with knowledge of food and pharmaceutical transport.
  • Strong self-motivation, ambition, and perseverance.
  • Ability to achieve results both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Location: London (UK)

Visa: Must have the right to work in the UK.
