Power Platform Developer for Major Japanese Bank

Leading provider of IT services to one of the major Japanese banking groups in the EMEA region, supporting one of Japan\’s largest banks and a global financial powerhouse.

We are currently seeking a Power Platform Developer (AVP level) with strong experience in HCL Notes (Lotus Notes) to support a major upgrade initiative. The role involves maintaining and enhancing existing Lotus Notes applications, ensuring a smooth transition to newer versions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business-critical systems. While Power Platform skills are beneficial, the primary focus is on Lotus Notes development and support.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Power Apps applications using Canvas or Model-driven app approach.
• Integrate Power Apps applications with Microsoft services such as Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
• Utilize Common Data Service (CDS) or other data sources to efficiently manage and store application data.
• Build and maintain plugins and PCF for PowerApps.
• Implement best practices, standards, and guidelines for Power Apps development to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Diagnose and resolve issues and bugs in applications, providing ongoing technical support and maintenance.
• Assist in creating comprehensive documentation and training materials for end-users and stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams on Power Platform projects, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Follow the Development Team’s Change Management Control procedures for production updates.
• Assist in supporting remaining applications in Lotus Notes (HCL Notes).
• Define database objects and interact with SQL and Oracle DBAs in London and New York.
• Troubleshoot JRIE systems, including Windows Servers and databases (SQL Server or Oracle).
• Liaise with other application support teams and technical departments across London and New York.
• Coordinate with the Release team for change rollouts and maintain application change history.

Job Requirements
Essential:

• Proven experience with HCL Notes (Lotus Notes), particularly versions 9–12.
• Prior experience developing and supporting applications using LotusScript and Formula Language.
• Strong understanding of Lotus Notes architecture and upgrade processes.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Lotus Notes systems in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with integrating Lotus Notes with other platforms and services.

Desirable:

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, PCF Controls).
• Knowledge of SQL/Oracle databases and scripting.
• Experience with C#, .NET, and Azure services.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform or Azure.
• Finance industry experience.
