Role Overview

This role sits within the Japanese Services team and focuses on client management, case administration, and business development support. You will act as a key liaison between clients and solicitors, ensuring smooth communication and high-quality service delivery. The position also offers exposure to marketing and event coordination, providing broader business experience beyond administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Support client and matter onboarding in collaboration with BD teams and lawyers
  • Maintain and organise case files and documentation
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, handling enquiries promptly
  • Translate legal and business content between English and Japanese
  • Prepare proposals, newsletters, and marketing materials
  • Coordinate and support seminars, webinars, and networking events
  • Maintain client databases, reports, and documentation
  • Liaise with the accounts team to process invoices accurately and on time
  • Provide cover for team members when required
  • Perform general administrative duties as needed

Required Skills & Experience

Must have

  • Fluent Japanese and English (both written and spoken for professional use)
  • Experience in a client-facing role (UK or Japan)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team
