A leading UK-based food distribution and wholesale business is seeking a Purchasing Specialist. The company specializes in providing high-quality products to retailers and food service businesses, ensuring efficient supply chain and procurement operations.
We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our procurement team. This is a key role for a candidate who can bring expertise in purchasing and supply chain management, ideally with experience in the food industry.
Key Responsibilities- Manage purchasing activities for assigned product categories.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams for demand planning.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies.
- Support forecasting and stock management to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Language: Fluent Japanese speaker with strong business-level English.
- Experience: 5–10 years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
