This is an opportunity with the UK subsidiary of a Japanese global organization. As part of its long-term growth strategy and organizational development, the company is seeking a high-potential finance professional who can eventually take on a leadership role within the finance function.
The successful candidate will initially work closely with the current finance leader, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the business and finance operations. Over time, the individual will be expected to develop into a key leader of the finance organization, with a clear career path toward a future CFO position.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial and management accounting
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Handle group reporting and consolidation packages for headquarters
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Monitor and manage cash flow
- Strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks
- Partner with business functions to support performance management and decision-making
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
