Jaberu Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Ganger/ Ground Worker with Supervisory Experience to join our client on a permanent, full-time PAYE basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ground Worker who is ready to take on additional responsibility and play a key role in supervising groundwork activities on site. The Role You will be responsible for carrying out a range of groundworks while also supporting the management and supervision of site teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Key responsibilities will include: * Carrying out general groundworks and site preparation * Excavation and trenching * Drainage and pipe installation * Kerbing, paving and concreting * Supervising and coordinating Ground Workers and site operatives * Allocating tasks and monitoring team performance * Ensuring work is completed to the required specification and programme * Liaising with site management and other trades * Working safely around plant and machinery * Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times * Identifying and reporting any issues on site * Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment * Supporting the site management team as required Requirements * Proven experience as a Ground Worker * Previous supervisory or team-leading experience – essential * Full UK driving licence – essential * CSCS card * Good understanding of groundworks, construction methods and site procedures * Strong understanding of health & safety * Ability to read and work from site plans and drawings * Excellent communication and leadership skills * Ability to organise and motivate a team * Reliable, punctual and professional approach * Strong work ethic and attention to detail * Right to work in the UK * Own PPE (desirable) In return, our client can offer a full-time, permanent role with long-term job security and potential opportunities for career progression.
