Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Survey Engineer to join our offshore and subsea support services team. Based at our operations hub in Aberdeen, this role is ideal for someone with a strong background in survey engineering and a hands-on approach to maintaining and mobilising high-specification equipment for offshore deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of the Workshop Supervisors and Manager to ensure operational efficiency.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures and promote a safe working environment at all times.
Carry out testing, maintenance, and calibration of survey rental equipment in line with company procedures.
Ensure test equipment remains in proper working condition through regular maintenance and updates.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and calibration schedules for all rental and test equipment.
Update asset tracking systems with status changes, maintenance records, and job reports.
Uphold high standards of housekeeping across the workshop and support areas.
Coordinate with vendors to manage timely delivery of parts and workshop stock.
Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure clarity on project requirements and timelines.
Attend manufacturer training courses to stay current with evolving technologies.
Support occasional mobilisation work on vessels in UK ports as needed.
Candidate Profile:
HNC or HND qualification in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience in a Survey Engineer role, ideally within the offshore or subsea sector.
Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible, team-oriented mindset.
Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
