JAB Recruitment are working with a leading engineering and manufacturing client in Kintore to source a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. This role sits within a global team responsible for the design and delivery of wireline systems and wellhead pressure control equipment. The successful candidate will play a key part in developing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems using advanced CAE tools, supporting projects from initial proposal through to final delivery. Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the position offers the opportunity to contribute to world-class engineering solutions while driving innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Innovate, design, and develop customised, customer-centric electrical solutions using advanced CAE tools.
- Lead and execute design projects, including cost estimates, validation, and compliance documentation, ensuring delivery within budget and to client specifications.
- Provide expert technical support across departments and regions, including on-site installation, testing, and client meetings globally.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering β ensures foundational knowledge and expertise.
- Relevant experience in electrical design within the oil and gas or related engineering industries β demonstrates ability to perform in a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAE tools and engineering documentation standards β required for daily tasks and project execution.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific standards, regulations, and best practices β ensures compliance and operational excellence.
