Senior Recruitment Consultant at JAB Recruitment | Engineering and Commercial Recruitment Solutions within the Oil & Gas and Renewables IndustriesJAB Recruitment is currently sourcing for a HR Administrator on behalf of our client who is a leading organisation in the energy and infrastructure sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support HR and General Services activities while developing your skills in a busy and professional environment. This is an initial 12-month PAYE contract.
Purpose of the Position
As HR Administrator, you will provide administrative support across HR and general services, contributing to the smooth running of HR processes. You will work closely with the HR administration and recruitment team, assisting with daily tasks and developing skills to take on more responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare contracts of employment for new employees and Exhibit A for agency workers, in line with the New Starters procedure.
Manage new starter administration including paperwork, employee files, room bookings, and departmental notifications.
Arrange pre-employment medicals and reference checks.
Undertake maternity risk assessments where required and liaise with HR Advisors/HSE on subsequent actions.
Maintain timely and accurate electronic and paper filing of all HR documentation.
Follow correct procedures for staff and agency worker terminations, ensuring updates, notifications, and recovery of company property.
Prepare contract amendments and ensure employee records are updated.
Candidate Profile β What We\βre Looking For
Minimum of 2 years\β prior experience in a similar HR administration role.
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
Resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Experience handling sensitive information with discretion.
Prior experience within a Human Resources department is essential.
Working towards a CIPD qualification (advantageous).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to at least an intermediate level.
Additional Information
This role is office-based, 5 days per week (Kingston area).
Applicants must already reside in the UK and hold full, permanent UK right-to-work status (sponsorship is not available).
The role is a full-time PAYE contractor position, inside IR35.
