JAB Recruitment is currently sourcing a candidate for a 3-month Engineering Internship on behalf of our client, a leading global provider of engineered equipment and technology solutions. This short-term opportunity is ideal for a recent engineering graduate looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment.
Over the course of the internship, the successful candidate will support engineering projects, assist with documentation and quality assurance initiatives, and work under the guidance of the Production Manager while collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Relationships: The Graduate reports to the Production Manager of the section to which they are assigned.
- Authority Within Department: The Graduate has authority to select a project, develop the necessary actions, and follow them through, keeping the line supervisor informed.
- Responsibilities:
- Issue engineering documents as required.
- Assist in general clerical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the Production Department.
- Progress small engineering projects as allocated by the Production Engineer or work as part of a larger team on more complex projects.
- Contribute to all aspects of the design process, including draughting, testing of products, and other operational tasks as directed by the Production Manager.
- Monitor project targets and progress, communicating any delays or changes to colleagues and line manager.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers as required.
- Provide engineering and operational support to all group companies.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the Production Manager.
- Ensure all assigned designs are independently checked for compliance with company standards.
- Confirm only approved tasks are being processed.
- Adhere to the company’s production quality control and quality assurance procedures.
