Fantastic opportunity to join this leading independent Heating & Plumbing merchant in Didcot. You will have full autonomy to make local decisions on stock, sales, pricing, people, and performance. You are very much the person who pulls the strings and makes things happen, treating the business as if it’s your own.
The role:
- Setting the strategy to drive sales, customer growth, and margin
- Managing the site team across sales, warehouse, admin and delivery
- Building strong relationships with local trade customers and key accounts
- Controlling stock profiles, purchasing, site overheads and forecasting
About you:
- You will be a confident people leader with experience either running a merchant or distribution site or within heating & plumbing, electrical or general merchanting
- You will understand P&L, margin, cost control, being financially astute
- Passionate about customer service and building long-term local relationships
- You will need a full UK driving licence
