My client is a well-established and growing supplier within the construction and building materials sector. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced Trade Account Manager to manage and grow customer base across Wales, working closely with builders’ merchants and retail partners.

The Role

As Trade Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing strong, long-term relationships with existing customers while identifying new opportunities to grow sales and market share. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of builders’ merchants and retail accounts across Wales
  • Growing turnover through account development, promotions and new product introductions
  • Identifying and securing new merchant and retail opportunities
  • Delivering product training and support to merchant teams
  • Monitoring competitor activity and market trends

About You

  • Proven experience in trade sales within construction, building products or a related sector
  • Strong knowledge of builders’ merchants and retail distribution
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach
  • Full UK driving licence
