The Government and Public Sector team (GPS) supports the growth and development of our Public Sector business. We connect our experts with public sector clients and work across business lines to identify profitable growth areas while managing strategic frameworks. Our relationships and partnerships open doors to new opportunities and long‑term clients.
To support this growth, we are looking for an experienced Bid Manager who will be responsible for leading Public Sector pursuits and bringing sales enablement operational excellence and best practices. We need an organised and creative thinker who can lead a wide variety of strategically important and/or complex multidisciplinary bids. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced and varied role, where you will oversee the end‑to‑end management of key public sector pursuits, from early win strategy development to the creation of compelling, client‑centric proposals and presentations.
What your day‑to‑day will look like:
- Bid Management: Support opportunity go‑no‑go qualifications, have a solid understanding of our key products and services and lead the end‑to‑end bid management process. Coordinate input from subject matter experts and provide guidance to ensure proposals are client‑centric, benefit‑led and differentiated.
- Sales Process Optimisation: Monitor pursuit processes, performance and client feedback to identify improvement opportunities and help create sales enablement strategies that support business goals.
- Knowledge Management: Lead the creation and continual improvement of the GPS bid library, sales collateral and business line materials to optimise efficiency and effectiveness for proposals and prospect client interactions.
- Reporting & Analytics: Monitor and update the GPS pipeline tracker to ensure the team has access to all opportunities and stages.
- Collaboration: Build a community with peers throughout the UK to enhance the GPS offering and raise the profile of Public Sector.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in bid management and sales enablement support.
- Leading and managing cross‑service pursuits while implementing the full bid process.
- Working collaboratively with and influencing a broad range of senior stakeholders.
- Utilising data and insights to track performance and advise on improvement strategies.
- Problem solving, identifying and understanding key client issues, developing innovative and compelling solutions.
- Persuasive writing and producing presentations.
- Working on multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Experience in commercial real estate advisory is preferred and considered an advantage.
- Flexible and initiative‑taking with the ability to collaborate across cultures and work as part of a diverse team.
- A challenger with a high degree of energy, assertiveness and creativity.
- A listener, willing to learn and who can communicate effectively and has strong influencing skills.
