Senior Electrical Project Engineer – Water Sector
The Opportunity
If you’re an experienced Electrical Project Engineer looking to step into a role with real ownership, this is it. You’ll take the lead on engineering delivery across major water sector projects—driving technical excellence, ensuring commercial success, and playing a key role in project leadership. This isn’t a back-office design role; you’ll be front and centre, influencing outcomes on site and in the boardroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking full responsibility for coordinating all electrical engineering aspects of projects
- Ensuring designs, procurement, and installations align seamlessly across disciplines
- Technically reviewing and approving procurement packages and subcontractor submissions
- Leading drawing coordination, ensuring accuracy and buildability
- Supporting commercial delivery alongside the Project Surveyor
- Managing labour, productivity, and materials to keep projects on track and profitable
- Working closely with Site Managers to drive installation progress and resolve issues
- Monitoring project performance through reporting and productivity tracking
- Acting as Project Manager when required – this role is a clear step toward PM level

- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer (ideally within water/utilities or infrastructure)
- Strong understanding of M&E coordination and installation processes
