J3A Recruitment are working with a rapidly growing MEICA engineering organisation that has secured a strong pipeline of work across Thames Water sites. They’re now looking to bring in an experienced Project Manager with a mechanical background to help drive ongoing projects forward in the Reading and South East area.
What you'll be doing as Project Manager:
- Managing multiple water-related projects at any one time (values ranging from £5k-£300k)
- Overseeing works across clean and dirty water sites, including pumping stations and general mechanical installations and refurbishments
- Taking ownership of quotations, fabrication drawings, RAMS, and project delivery
- Carrying out site surveys, liaising with clients, and leading project teams to successful completion
The suitable Project Manager will bring:
- HNC / HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in the water industry - ideally with Thames Water
- Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and fabrication processes
- Capable of writing method statements and risk assessments
- Electrical knowledge is beneficial, but not essential
- SMSTS isn't essential but highly beneficial
