Are you a handsâon SHEQ Manager who loves getting stuck into live projects, driving standards, and making a real impact? This is your chance to join a growing utilities & civil engineering contractor delivering key projects across the water sector â with huge scope as AMP8 ramps up.
You will be the goâto expert for all things Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality, shaping policy, leading improvements, and keeping people safe across multiple sites and frameworks.
What Youâll Be Doing
- Acting as the companyâs SHEQ competent person
- Developing, improving, and implementing H&S, Environmental and Quality policies
- Carrying out regular audits, inspections and internal reviews
- Leading investigations, reporting on performance, and driving corrective actions
- Managing and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards
- Owning industry accreditations including CHAS, Constructionline, Achilles UVDB, ECO Vadis, Avetta and more
- Supporting teams across operations, engineering and project delivery
- Building strong relationships with clients such as Thames Water, Wessex Water, Southern Water
- Leading safety meetings, toolbox talks, training and continuous improvement programmes
- Ensuring environmental protection and sustainability targets are met
- Championing a positive SHEQ culture across the business
What Youâll Need
- Strong CDM knowledge
- Proven experience managing SHEQ within the water industry or construction
- Confident managing and auditing ISO standards
- Sharp attention to detail and highâquality reporting skills
- Ability to work across multiple projects and support various teams
- Strong communicator who can influence at all levels
- Experience dealing with clientâside SHEQ teams
