Due to increased workload, they seek an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support projects around the Thames Valley area, with opportunities for career progression into more senior roles.

Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Monitor subcontract work quality to meet Thames Water standards and project specs.
  • Resolve site technical queries in liaison with Design and Engineering teams.
  • Support Site Managers with client meetings and progress reports.
  • Maintain detailed site diaries of activities and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Contribute to profitability by optimizing manpower and resources, minimizing waste.
  • Ensure all work complies with C.D.M. Regulations and safety practices.
  • Assist in preparing/reviewing Method Statements, Lift Plans, and Risk Assessments.

Requirements for Success

  • Experience in mechanical installation and commissioning in water/wastewater sectors.
  • Authorized person for isolation and permit to work.
  • Responsibilities include installation supervision, commissioning support, equipment checks, pressure testing, and quality assurance.
  • Water industry experience from a main contractor is essential.

  • Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
