An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the Asset Intelligence division of one of the UK’s largest and most established construction and infrastructure groups. With an order book exceeding £4.1 billion, the business provides outstanding stability, structured career development and exposure to major Critical National Infrastructure projects across water, defence, energy, transport and telecommunications.
The successful Project Manager will oversee the delivery of electronic security, physical security and life-safety system installations across operational water utility sites and other critical environments. Based from Warrington, you will manage multiple projects across the North West, taking responsibility for safety, programme delivery, client relationships and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from initial setup through to completion and handover
- Maintain a safe working environment across all sites and projects
- Ensure company health, safety and sustainability standards are consistently applied
- Control and monitor progress against agreed project programmes
- Take responsibility for project financial performance and contract profitability
- Participate in monthly financial reviews alongside the Commercial Team
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and specialist resources
- Liaise with design teams to ensure information is received in line with programme requirements
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, representatives and supply-chain partners
- Plan and maintain appropriate staffing levels across current and upcoming workloads
- Ensure installations comply with relevant technical standards and client specifications
About You
The successful Project Manager will ideally have:
- Experience delivering life-safety, fire alarm, electronic security or related installation projects
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Site Manager or Contracts Manager
- Strong knowledge of BS 5839-1:2025 and HTM 05A Level 3 FIA qualification or equivalent
- An ONC, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent relevant qualification
- Experience working with life-safety systems
- Experience in live hospitals, utilities or other operational environments
- A valid CSCS card
- The ability to complete a DBS check
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of project profitability
- Strong Microsoft Office and general IT skills
